Parmesan Garlic Bread

Course Side Dish
Yield 1 baguette


  • 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp minced fresh parsley (or just under 1 tsp dried parsley)
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 baguette, halved lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan, shredded or Parmesan Reggiano, shaved


  1. Preheat oven to 425.

  2. Combine butter, garlic, parsley, and seasonings in a bowl. Spread cut sides of baguette with butter mixture and sprinkle with Parmesan.

  3. Place bread, buttered side up, on a baking sheet lined with a cooling rack (cooling rack used for optimal toasting... I bake mine directly on the baking sheet). Bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese and bread are toasted.
